Interpretations...Yours and Mine

Before reading my thoughts on this image, PLEASE understand the distinction being made between the types of subject matter that I am talking about. Many people who have responded to this image in the past have mistakenly thought I was generalizing ALL addicts as being parasites. This is NOT the case by any stretch of the imagination.

The basis for this creation is inspired by real-life examples of the subject matter... that being 'remorseless addicts'. When it comes to addictions to drugs and/or alcohol I have found that there are definitely different grades of addicts.

'Helpless' addicts are those who are in the grips but in no way try to intentionally hurt those who are around them. In fact, these are more often than not self destructive addicts. 'Remorseless' addicts are another story altogether.

The Remorseless addict takes pride in addiction and has literally no problem screwing over loved ones in order to further their selfish desires. They are the type of people that will put on the crocodile tears and blame their addictions whenever they are caught in the act of causing harm to innocent people to further those addictions... but deep inside they are nothing but black hearted parasites.

This image depicts these parasites as they make their journeys through life. The dark skeletons in their closets actually help to navigate their way while any potential regrets take the back seat. They are nothing more than a product of their dark gluttony.

There is a sad reality here... sometimes BAD people become addicts. These people were BAD people BEFORE their addictions and their addictions only added to their blackhearted nature. These people were not worthy of trust even BEFORE they became addicts. These people are liars and thieves even BEFORE their addictions take hold. Once the addictions move into people of this nature, they truly become the parasites that I have tried depicting here.
