Following the closure of the facility that I had spent 21 years of my life, I began my pursuit of a new career. What I did not anticipate at the onset of my journey was just how few would be willing to give an opportunity to somebody in my situation. Regardless of the education that I had aquired, and the life-long proven track record of work ethic and dependability, nobody seemed willing to take the chance on me. Having been a provider for so long, it became very difficult to keep walking the path at times. After a while, it seemed as if the path would lead me nowhere.
