Thoughts behind the artwork...

For years I have seen the dramatic increase in the use of manipulation through media. Corporate giants with a vested interest in how we think have paired up with those who make the rules to own and govern every last bit of content that is delivered into each and every home in this country. The people of this country have become wholly dependent on the television... hopelessly addicted to content meant to ensnare the ability to think and reason independently. The most egregious offenders of the mind manipulation are the so called "News Channels".

These so called "News Channels" each have a common thread: distraction. The mass consciousness is being openly governed by psychological tricks meant to distract us, keep us fighting, and keep us afraid. How can we unite if we believe our neighbor is our enemy? How can we focus on solving REAL problems when we are constantly manipulated into hating each other? How can we UNITE when we are conditioned to "Stay tuned" for more information on how we should not stand together as a people. At every turn, we are manipulated to pick a side and blame the other for every issue. The success of this conditioning can be seen everywhere that we look.

This image covers a topic that I have approached from several different angles artistically. I guess you could say that sometimes I may be repeating myself with some of these images. In my defence, I must say that the topic of mass manipulation through media is one of the most deeply troubling things that our society faces today. This manipulation has become so toxic that I fear we may be on the brink of catastrophe.

A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.
