How long did I wander The Underworld? How long did my path keep me from following The River of Time? Was it a lifetime? An era? A moment? In mute agony I
moved forever forward in that purgatory... that limbo... until I happened upon The Guardian of the Path.
Knowledge of what must be done was never spoken, nor was it needed. It was an instinctual reflex as automatic as the living who know they must eat when
hungry. I simply knew this guardian blocked the path leading my spirit forward. I would have to convince the guardian to let me pass. If I did not, my
spirit would continue to wander aimlessly and without hope... until one day when I would find myself here again.
"Why do you stand before me?" a deep and eldritch voice intoned.
"I seek The River of Time. Will you let me pass?"
"Why should I let you pass? Do you not know that you are lost?"
"I do, though I know not why. Please... allow me to resume my journey."
"What you seek is The Lord of Perdition. This is the path."
"Who is this Lord of Perdition?"
"The one who will determine if you are yet to be allowed."
"Who are you to deny me?"
"I am The Guardian of The Path. You must convince me of your worthiness."
And so began The Post Life Deliberation.
This image is another fragment of a very profound dream from many years ago. In this dream, I wandered for an eternity of unbroken time. Much of the
dream I do not fully remember, but from time I recall other chapters of the story. This is one such chapter.
