Thoughts behind the artwork...

This image dates all the way back to 2004 and was the basis for the home page of SirJohns World in one of its early iterations. That particular iteration lasted for several years. Previous iterations were very experimental. I was teaching myself web design just as much as I was teaching myself how to become an artist. Looking back on some of those early versions brings a smile to my face. There were some pretty embarassing blunders along the way! But just like all of the imagery that didn't hold up, the mistakes were all a part of what now is. So many things were a simple matter of trial and error. Without all of the failures along the way I wouldn't be who I am now. This is true in art and in life.

I found this image while looking through some of my old backup files. It really was an important part of SirJohns World and I feel that it belongs here. As always, I appreciate you taking the time to look. Whether you are new to SirJohns World, or an old school follower... I appreciate you.
