In all the years that I have been creating artwork, there are certain images that stand out in my mind more than others. This is one them.
Having just passed through deaths door, the central figure is confronted in the afterlife by a skeletal figure. The skeletal figure prostrates before the gaunt, fragile spirit. The skeletal
figure has waited long for this encounter.
"Why did you leave me?" the standing figure wails.
"Why did you take your life? Do you not know what you did to me? Do you not understand that my life ended with yours, but I had to go on living anyway? Look at me! Look at what you've done!"
And so, the ravaged, vulnerable spirit waits for the silence to be broken... longing to hear The Apology.
