While creating this image, I could not help but think of all the decent people feeling trapped within their own little bubbles of comfort while monstrous deeds are taking place all around. Once upon a time, the news would report scenes of barbaric cruelty occurring in other parts of the world. As often as not, these scenes were blown up to larger than life proportions to make us fear whatever enemy we were supposed to fear in that moment in time. Little did we know that one day those monstrous scenes would right on our doorsteps. Little did we know that our own people would be the ones committing them. Tragic.
