Thoughts behind the artwork...

This image originally didn't have anything behind it. However, when I showed it to my wife she offered a fantastic interpretation. She spoke of the uniformity of the colums. She pointed out that the purpose of columns is to provide support, and that in these uncertain times there are many things at work undermining the integrity of the support structures holding our society together. To me, this was a brilliant interpretation of the work. Once I saw what she was seeing it became undeniable. I wish that I could say that her words were what compelled me to create this... but that was not the case!
