Thoughts behind the artwork...

Artificial intelligence. In terms of what it means to the world of art, and more specifically, to the world of actual artists... artificial intelligence devalues everything that we have worked to achieve. After doing plenty of research, I have come to a rather solid conclusion. While the technology is clever, fascinating, and a remarkable achievement, it really is nothing more than thievery. Most people have no understanding of how these algorithms work... how they are doing nothing more than stealing elements of actual human creations and cleverly mashing them together to match the words typed into a command prompt.

Adding insult to injury, AI generated imagery has finally proven the old school naysayers of digital art right. Now a person with literally no artistic talent whatsoever can type a few words and within minutes have a hi-res image whipped up that looks like Dali himself was resurrected to paint on command.

Now anybody can pretend to be an artist. What is even worse are the people who are trying to pass off these images as their own creations. Those who have no understanding of what they are looking at pat the charlatans on the back and tell them that they are amazing artists. I will not lie... this to me is nothing more than pathetic.

I know that I am not alone in my outrage. Do some research and see for yourself what this is doing to the world of art.
