This image is a dedication to all who know the triumph of surviving the darkness of addiction. To all who kept one foot in front of the other until finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. To all who kept hope alive until eventually breaking free of their self-induced prisons. To all who escaped, raised a fist in defiance and continue to fight. To all who survived… myself included.

I created this image as a tribute to everybody who fights the battle. For me personally, I have been free of my prison for several decades. Having said that, I will add that never a day goes by that I am not gratefull for the strength to win free. Even after all these years, when my anniversary date arrives, it is a solemn and sacred thing that never loses its impact.
