Thoughts behind the artwork...

She has made mistakes in her life... deep are the regrets that burden her thoughts. She dwells upon them because they have caused others pain. She sees herself as ugly. She believes she is bad. She cannot see that she is a creature of beauty.

-John Alexander (aka SirJohn)

The primary inspiration of this image dates way back to my teen-age years. Two girls, both my age, form the basis for this artwork. Both girls I knew in separate times and places... but their stories were nearly identical. Both were beautiful young women bound by the same addiction... sex. Each of them saw their lives become ruinous because of their addiction. As a result, they each suffered emotionally. Their addiction ruined virtually every relationship in their lives. Friends were forever lost. Family was destroyed. Ultimate loneliness and despair ensued.

Both believed themselves to be cursed. They believed themselves to be ugly, monstrous creatures because of the mistakes that they were compelled to make over and over again. Neither understood that they were beautiful people who simply needed help.
