Thoughts behind the artwork...

It is a gift to be 'Daddy'. Every dad should understand this. This is for my daughters... who are the greatest gift that life could have given me.

Somebody viewing this image and then reading the description above may wonder why only one daughter is present when I clearly mention that I have more. The explanation is that my daughters are pretty far apart in age. The scene that I have depicted applies to both of them. Each of them at the age shown in this image walked hand in hand with me... just the two of us together. By the time my youngest reached this age, my eldest was all grown up. Regardless, it was this connection to my daughters that made my life better in every way. They gave me the gift of being allowed to see the world through the eyes of a child once again. When we grow up, we tend to lose that sense of wonder in the little things the world has to offer us. Being a daddy has allowed me to recall what it was like to see and experience things for the first time all over again. It has been one of the greatest joys that this life has offered me.
