A stark reminder of mortality, I sense the weight of reality & it's transient nature, somehow beautiful & disquieting... good work John!

Conformity insanity...hmmm! Insanity is not usually in reference to anatomy or form. It is usually used in correlation to the mind because the mind thinks...the body functions in direct response to what the mind tells it to do. I do think that the definitions of the words in your title may be speaking to the insanity (fugue) of conformity (anatomy). At amy rate... the artwork is amazing. Without really showing all the aspects of the human form, muscles, nerves, organs, blood vessels... etc, you leave us with the visual reality. Fabulous work, John,! Colors, concept and texture have merged again...from your mind to our eyes, heart and soul!

Hurting, pushing... with something innerly thoughtful about it. simply fantastic :)

When most people think of anatomy, it is natural to think of those diagrams that we remember seeing in our textbooks at school... or hanging around in some doctors offices. Images of the muscular system, arteries and veins, bones, organs, etc. What does the psychotic mind envision though? Could it be that the psychotic mind only sees matter that rots? No real depth of detail, no lifelines connecting each of our various systems to each other in a symbiotic relationship to one another?

What if the psychotic mind sees only flesh and bone? Something as cut and dry as wood or stone? Perhaps there is an inability to make that symbiotic connection matter.
