Interpretations...Yours and Mine

Your's... A Man's Anger

Mine...Anal Retentive

-Sarai Mercedes

I don't see it as dark... he's moving purposely with a swinging open stride towards the light source. I see it more like a liberation from all the little preconceived boxes people try to put you into. Or maybe he's different enough that he never fit into one of the niches to begin with.

-Heidi

A simple composition that's appears to say much John, it makes me think about the frantic pace of life & all those missed chances when we have no time to stop & understand.

-Bevchiron

The enigma...a paradox of sorts in this piece, for me, speaks to the contrasts that lie within the individual...sometimes so different that we are at a loss to explain them.

-Cheryl Lavender

Devoid of fashion... we can't form an opinion from something as superficial as clothing ... facial features are not available for inspection... retrospection, then, reigns supreme....

He's obviously seen all this before... his stride is purposeful... quick... this enigma has someplace to be... and it's not anywhere near here...

Note the lower case "e" that has replaced his skull... open-ended to what lies before him... and closed to what lies behind. Ask him no questions... he'll tell you no lies...

Your images may leave us wondering "what", John... but we never have to question "why"... because you delve into our souls with your artwork... and we can all "remember this one time"... :) Bravo!!

-Helen Grainge

When I set out to make this image I was considering the mystery of human personality. We cannot be judged in shades of gray... even when we think we know someone they can still do things that make us think 'what the heck is THAT??'.

Persanalities can be as abstract as what I have done to the head of the figure in this image when you really think about it.
