The Audience... a surreal dream of a lonely child ignored by the adults in her life. In her dream, The Audience hangs on her every word. Mechanical eyes, like the lenses of strange cameras,
capture her every movement and word. With every movement... every word... The Audience silently begs to hear more, endlessly captivated by all that she is.
Recently, I created an image titled "Here There Be Monsters". That image pertained to the horrors of child abuse. This image pertains to another form of child abuse... neglect. The role of being
a parent can be difficult. Life can become complex... busy... overwhelming. Regardless of the problems adulthood can pose, the role of parent is an interactive one. Parents cannot turn their
backs on their children just because life has become difficult. It makes no difference how much stress a parent is under, children should not be made to bear the brunt of those burdens.
